Most of the chalk is used in the animal husbandry industry to feed farm animals and preparecombined feeds. For use in agriculture — as a soil loosener and calcium fertilizer, for feeding pets and birds, whitewashing trees and bushes.

Fodder natural ground chalk is a white, odorless, homogeneous powder that is practically insoluble in water. It contains 37% calcium, 0.18% phosphorus, 0.5% potassium, 0.3% sodium, and no more than 5% silicon and other elements. As you know, farm animals have a rather high need for minerals and, especially, calcium, which is necessary for normal heart activity, blood clotting, bone tissue formation, etc. In addition, calcium increases the reproductive functions and protective forces of the body, participates in the regulation of muscle and nervous activity. The lack of calcium in the diet of young animals leads to rickets: growth and development are disturbed, the spine, ribs, and tubular bones crack. In adult animals, calcium deficiency is expressed in metabolic disorders, body exhaustion, bone fragility, increased consumption offeed. Productivity decreases by all indicators (live weight decreases, milk yield drops).
