Simple modified mid-early hybrid (FAO 290).

Entered into the Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine since 2021.

Originator: GU Institute of Grain Cultures of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Direction of use -grain.

Cultivation zone - Steppe, Polesie.

The plant is 230 cm tall, does not bush, is resistant to lodging. The height of the initial attachment is 80-90 cm.

The beginning is cylindrical in shape, 23-24 cm long, the number of rows of grains is 16, the number of grains in a row is 42-43, the stem is red.

The grain is yellow-orange, tooth-shaped. Weight of 1000 grains 280-290 g.

The hybrid is characterized by medium initial growth, tolerates short-term spring colds well, responds well to improvement of development conditions - application of mineral fertilizers, irrigation. It is distinguished by a well-branched root system, which provides resistance to lodging, and together with the compact architecture of the plants, it allows it to tolerate long periods of dry conditions during the growing season. It is characterized by high resistance to damage by the most harmful diseases and pests - bubble and flying heads, fusarium rot, corn moth, etc.

It is characterized by high drought and heat resistance (9 points), moderate maintenance and relatively good moisture yield during ripening.

It ensures high and stable grain yield.

The recommended pre-harvest density of plants in the steppe zone is 50-55, forest-steppe - 70-75, Polesya - 75-90 thousand. pcs./ha.

Potential yield of 15.1 t/ha.

Grain yield in GU IZK NAAS in 2020 was 8.51 t/ha, in 2021 – 10.68 and in 2022 – 7.27, with grain moisture at harvesting 9.8; 23.8; 20.0%, respectively by year. It was received in 2021 on irrigation at the IZK of the National Academy of Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences. 12.64 t/ha with a grain moisture content of 13.2% at the time of harvesting, and 13.07 t/ha with a grain moisture content of 24.5% at the ecological point of Kremenchug.
