Originator - Institute of plant breeding named after V. Ya. Yuryeva NAAS.
Listed in the Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine since 2008.
Recommended growing area: Forest Steppe, Polissia of Ukraine.
Varietal distinguishing features.
The variety is hordeiforme. The ear is red, weakly colored when ripe, medium in length, cylindrical, dense, the wax layer is weak, the pubescence of the edges of the lower 2-3 segments of the stem is strong. Spikelets are red, placed along the entire length of the ear, at the top of the ear are longer than the length of the ear. The grain is amber, elongated, has a weak color in phenol, the weight of 1000 seeds is 42-44 g. The spikelet scale is elongated, there is no pubescence on the outer surface, the shoulder is elevated, narrow, the tooth is long, moderately bent. The tongue is circular, short, incompletely covering the straw. The bush is upright, the stem is strong, full.

Biological signs.
The variety was created for cultivation using intensive technology, medium-ripening, duration of vegetation 106 days. Resistant to lodging, the height of the plants is 100 cm. The ear is easily milked. In terms of resistance to brown rust, flying soot and powdery mildew, the variety is at the standard level, in terms of resistance to hard soot and septoriosis it exceeds the standard.
Economic signs.
Potential yield of 5.5 t/ha. Gluten content 31-34%, protein content 13.5-15.5%. Pasta quality is good.
Agrotechnical requirements.
The sowing rate is 4.5 million similar grains per hectare.
Seeds must be treated with fungicide and insecticide before sowing. The variety withstands significant doses of mineral fertilizers and needs to be placed after better predecessors on soils with good moisture supply.
