Fertilizer spreader MVU-5 is a semi-trailer unit for applying loose mineral fertilizers. The MVU-5 fertilizer application machine has the following design features: the chassis of the MVU-5 machine is a springless balancing cart of the tandem type, consisting of two balancers connected by a central axis on sliding bearings, with axles for attaching wheels. Inside the body there is a device for uniform discharge of fertilizer, which is a three-dimensional screen made of bimetal, installed on two supports fixed on the front and side sides.
The metering flap of the improved design is a slide that moves in the guides on the rear side of the body with the help of a steering wheel attached to the shaft together with two sprockets that engage with the rails on the flap.
The rod-plate conveyor of the machine consists of rectilinear rods connected in a closed circuit with the help of link plates. The drive of the transporter at application doses up to 6000 kg/ha is carried out by therunning wheel, over 6000 - by the tractor PTO.
Scatteringdiscs have four groove blades, installed at an angle of 900 to each other. To increase the strength, the discs are equipped with burrs and ring corrugations. The discs are driven from the PTO of the tractor through the cardan shaft, intermediate shafts, two V-belt loops and two bevel gears.
