Paronite is gasket material in the form of a sheet, the basis of which is asbestos and rubber. Due to its good flexibility, it is used as a seal for various joint connections where high temperatures and pressures are used, for example, in metalworking, oil and chemical industry, machine building and other areas. Two types of paronite are most common: type PON (general purpose) and PMB paronite (petroleum-resistant). Paronite oil and gasoline resistant PMB is used in environments: heavy and light petroleum products, oil fractions, meltwax; liquefied and gaseous carbons C1-C5;coke gas; gaseous oxygen and nitrogen. The temperature of the working environment is from -40 to +490 °C.
