In the production of paint and varnish products, isopropyl alcohol is used to dissolve ethyl cellulose, nitrocellulose, and acetyl cellulose.
In the production of nitrocellulose lacquers, isopropyl alcohol is the main component.
In the production of household chemicals, isopropyl alcohol is used as a disinfectant.
