Properties:

The fungicide contains two active substances with different mechanisms of action, which expand the spectrum of the drug's effectiveness and exclude the possibility of resistance. Crosby has a protective, preventive and curative effect. The fungicide improves the phytosanitary condition of plants just a few hours after application. Precipitation 1-2 hours after using Crosby does not lead to a loss of its effectiveness.

Mechanism of action:

Propiconazole is the active substance of the drug, which belongs to the chemical composition of triazoles and within 1-2 hours after application it penetrates into the plant through the assimilating parts and spreads evenly through the xylem. Propiconazole blocks the biosynthesis of sterols, which are part of the cell wall of the fungus. This leads to disturbances in the process of cell division, and subsequently to the death of the pathogen. Thiophanate-methyl blocks the processes of fungal cell division, preventing the development of conidia, the formation of a growth tube and penetration into plant tissues, and also blocks the development of mycelium.

General recommendations:

The drug should be used preventively during the growing season or when the first signs of the disease appear, and again after 3-4 weeks. Spraying should be carried out before diseases cause irreversible crop losses. A mandatory requirement is to ensure continuous coverage of the area and abundant wetting of the plants during application of the drug. Crosby is compatible with many herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, fertilizers, growth regulators, but a trial mix must be conducted before preparing the tank mix. In tank mixes, the norm isherbicides,insecticides and Crosby do not change in the downward direction, but are used according to recommendations for individual use.
