The active substance inhibits the biosynthesis of ergosterone in the cells of the fungus, which leads to the destruction of the cell walls of the pathogen, stopping the growth of the mycelium and its rapid death. The use of Tournix fungicide in the spring provides resistance against lodging and better formation of lateral shoots. The drug Tournix quickly penetrates the plant (in 1-2 hours), so the effectiveness is guaranteed even in the event of a possible downpour after spraying. It works both prophylactically and after disease, maintaining its effectiveness for several weeks.
