Also, this plant is excellent for gastritis with reduced acidity, colitis, hepatitis, cholecystitis, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer. With the help of tansy, they treat low blood pressure, appetite disorders, inflammation of the bladder and kidneys, as well as joint diseases: gout, rheumatism, and polyarthritis. It is used externally for skin diseases: ulcers, scabies, festering wounds, as well as sprains and bruises. The soothing effect of tansy on the body is used to treat nervous disorders, headaches, fatigue, hysteria, and epilepsy. Dropsy, disorders of the menstrual cycle, pulmonary tuberculosis and fever are also included in the list of diseases for which the use of ordinary tansy is indicated. The plant is used in many spheres of life, its properties were used even in the times of Ancient Egypt, where tansy was used as an embalming agent. Separate parts of the plant can become raw materials for obtaining dyes or fodder for cattle. Tansy is widely used in cooking and medicine. Tansy contains alkaloids, vitamins of groups B and C, organic acids, essentialoil, flavonoids, tanacetin, carotene, sugar, gum, resins, tannins and bitter substances.
