Bromadiolone is a poison with an anticoagulant effect, which, when ingested by rodents, disrupts the formation of vitamin K1, with the participation of which proteins of the prothrombin complex are produced. Eating poisoned bait, rodents receive a lethal dose of the drug within 1-2 days. A day after the use of a lethal dose of bromadiolone, the level of blood coagulation in rodents sharply slows down, and an increase in the permeability of blood vessels causes the death of the body from bleeding. Death of rodents occurs after 3-7 days.

Method of application :
The poisoned bait is prepared by mixing "Bromadiolon 0.25%" with benign food products (cleanedgrain, groats,granulated compound feed, etc.) in a ratio of 20 ml of concentrate per 1 kg of finished bait. To increase the attractiveness for rodents, it is recommended to use additional food attractants - unrefined vegetable oil (3%) or sugar (3-10% in the composition of the bait). Bait is placed in previously identified habitats of rodents: along walls, partitions, near holes, etc., laid out in dry places under shelters using adapted containers (bait boxes, drainage pipes, trays, boxes) or special containers. The latter is preferable, because increase the consumption of the product, preventing it from being chewed by rodents. The bait is laid out in 50-100 g of rats or 10-25 g of mice. The distance between the bait placement points is 2-15 m, depending on the clutter of the premises and the number of rodents. Portions of bait from mice are laid out more often than from rats. I inspect the unfolded bait 1-2 days after laying, and then with an interval of 1 week.

Precautions :
when carrying out planned deratization, the presence of pets, strangers, especially children, is not allowed on the territory. All work with the drug is carried out in overalls, laying out baits with the drug using rubber gloves, tweezers, and plastic spoons. Do not allow the drug to come into contact with the skin, mucous membranes, or inside. In case of contamination of the skin with the drug, wash the area thoroughly with soap and water, if the drug gets into the stomach, consult a doctor. The remains of the uneaten drug, the container, and the corpses of rodents are disposed of according to the current instructions for deratization.

According to the parameters of acute toxicity when injected into the stomach of rats, the product "Bromadiolone 0.25%" belongs to the III class of moderately dangerous substances. When applied to the skin of rats - to IV class of low-hazardous substances.
