FITOVERM Biological insecticide. Fitoverm is a truly unique biopreparation of the 4th generation, the basis of which is the product of the vital activity of a number of soil microorganisms. It has proven itself well in the plant protection market and is widely used in 90% of all greenhouses in Russia. This is a biological preparation - i.e. not a chemical one. It is effective in the fight against more than twenty types of pests, including aphids, the Colorado potato beetle; egg whites and scoops on cabbage; spider mites and fruit mites, leafhoppers, fruit rot, mealybugs, scoops on apple trees; mites, aphids, and thrips on roses, as well as to protect cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants in greenhouses from aphids, thrips, and mites. Fitoverm does not cause habituation in pests, so this drug can be used for several years. After 8-7 hours, the pests stop asking and moving, and after 3-5 days they die. Usually two treatments with an interval of a week are enough. And after 2 days (!) after processing with Fitoverm, vegetables and fruits can be eaten. The drug does not cause burns to plants and is especially irreplaceable at high temperatures, when chemical agents are not effective. The drug is used in small doses. And at the same time, it does not accumulate in the environment. What is very important - the drug is absolutely harmless to humans. METHOD OF APPLICATION. Fitoverm is available as a 0.2% emulsion concentrate in vials of various capacities. The working solution is prepared in accordance with the attached instructions and used on the same day. The contents of the 5 ml ampoule are dissolved in water: for the destruction of thrips in 0.5 l, for scoops and aphids - in one liter, for leafhoppers and mites - in two liters, for mites and fruit flies - in three liters, and for the Colorado potato beetle - in five liters of water. Plant processing is carried out during the vegetation period in dry, clear and windless weather, when precipitation is unlikely in the first 8-10 hours after processing. Processing is carried out by any typesprayers, providing fine spraying and uniform wetting of the leaf plate Already after 6-8 hours after treatment, biting pests stop asking (for suckers, this time is extended to 12-16 hours). It is necessary to take into account that the death of pests occurs 2-3 days after treatment, and the maximum effect is reached on 5-7 days. in weather conditions, it lasts up to 7 days. Even minor precipitation or heavy dew significantly reduce the effectiveness of the drug. Storage of the working solution is not allowed. When the conditions of use are observed, the biological effectiveness of the drug is 90-98% for all listed pests (see the table). Its final content in agricultural production is significantly lower than the maximum permissible concentration, and fruits and vegetables can be eaten two days after processing. The drug is used in open and sheltered soil against such pests of vegetable crops as the spider mite, gall nematode, whitefly, Colorado potato beetle, aphid, etc. The use of Fitoverm allows to extend the cucumber growing season for two to four weeks and saves amateur vegetable growers from the most time-consuming operation - changing the soil in the greenhouse when the gall nematode appears. Fitoverm helps with a strong spread on fruit and berry crops of apple honeydew, aphids, caterpillars of leafhoppers, whiteflies, hawthorn mite. The best results are given by the treatment of insects in the initial stages of development, and when using Fitoverm in later periods, the opportunity for butterflies to appear is sharply reduced.
