For the preparation of the tincture, the larvae of the large wax moth (Galleria Mellonella) are used. These larvae feed exclusively on bee products, primarily beeswax. They secrete enzymes thanks to which their body easily splits and assimilates
wax. No other living being on Earth is capable of such a thing.
When making a tincture of freshly collected larvae, insist on a 40% alcohol solution. The resulting liquid has a light brown color and a light protein-honey aroma. Natural precipitation is allowed, so it is recommended to shake the tincture before use.
Wax moth tincture has a complex and varied chemical composition. It contains enzymes, peptides, high-molecular-weight proteins, nucleosides, nucleotides, xanthine and hypoxanthine, steroid hormones, serotonin-like substances that have an effect on smooth muscles and, in addition, a large number of vitamins and trace elements that regulate the body's vital activity. It contains 20 out of 28 free amino acids, including all 9 essential amino acids necessary for the normal functioning of the human body. The tincture contains valine, glycine, serine, leucine, alanine, lysine, gamma-aminobutyric, aspartic and glutamic acid in very high concentrations. Amino acids are involved in protein synthesis, which is part of all human organs and tissues. They are contained in the composition of immunoglobulins, hormones, enzymes, neurotransmitters, etc. The composition of the tincture contains lipids and higher fatty acids, including irreplaceable linoleic and linoleic.
The preparation contains the enzyme serine protease. It has a powerful lysing effect, prevents the formation of scars and adhesions, so it is useful after surgical interventions, purulent and extensive inflammatory processes. Amino acids - histidine and methionine remove toxins and salts of heavy metals from the body, protecting it from ionizing radiation and intoxication.

It improves the drainage function of the bronchi, has an anti-inflammatory, mucolytic, bronchodilatory effect and is therefore effective in the treatment of bronchial asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, allergies. Normalization of blood parameters and parameters of the immune system is observed in patients. When using the drug, the state of health improves noticeably, bronchospasm is eliminated, wheezing disappears, indicators of general blood analysis (erythrocyte level, hemoglobin and reticulocyte content), acid-alkaline balance and gas composition, spirometric indicators, increase in osmotic resistance of erythrocytes are normalized.
Cardiovascular diseases. After using the tincture in patients with chronic coronary insufficiency, angina pectoris, and cardiosclerosis, in most cases angina attacks stopped, shortness of breath decreased, and electrocardiogram indicators improved. When using the drug for 2-4 weeks, patients who suffered a myocardial infarction observed a decrease in the symptoms of heart failure and the disappearance of angina attacks. With long-term use (1-1.5 years) in courses of 2-3 months, positive dynamics of cicatricial changes in the myocardium were observed: disappearance of impaired atrioventricular conduction, manifested arrhythmias, improvement of intraventricular conduction.

Wax moth tincture has proven itself well as a geriatric remedy for the prevention and treatment of age-related changes. It contributes to a steady decrease in arterial blood pressure by 12-14%, which is manifested on the 10th day of administration, slows down the development of atherosclerosis, and has a cardioprotective effect. The use of the drug from the tenth day after a heart attack promotes the absorption of cicatricial changes in the myocardium, accelerates their replacement by contractile muscle tissue.
The tincture stimulates the resorption of scar tissues of any organs of the human body: scars of the heart muscle after a heart attack, changes in the lungs after pleurisy and pneumonia, changes in the vessels of the brain after a stroke and concussion, as well as keloid scars.
Good results are given by the use of tincture for the prevention of vegetative-vascular dystonia and atherosclerosis, increasing the body's defenses.
In the treatment of thrombophlebitis and vein blockage, the swelling of veins and their blueness decreases, and an improvement in the general condition is observed. The drug has a strengthening and antioxidant effect, reduces thrombosis, improves microcirculation.
Gynecological diseases. The drug is used in obstetrics and gynecology for the treatment of toxicosis in the first half of pregnancy, infertility, anemia. When using a tincture of wax moth larvae for the treatment of climacteric disorders, the normalization of the mental state, sleep, and the restoration of the normal structure of endometrial cells are observed. In the treatment of infertility, it is possible to correct disorders of blood rheology and various manifestations of placental insufficiency, to improve microcirculation.

Due to the presence of acidic peptides, nucleosides and nucleotides in combination with amino acids - isoleucine, valine, histidine and growth stimulation factors, the endurance and speed of recovery of muscles after high loads increases, the growth and recovery of tissues is stimulated, the absorption of calcium improves, the energy supply of the body increases, and the synthesis of hemoglobin increases. It is useful for people engaged in physical labor, as well as during the recovery period after injuries and operations.
