How to write an effective announcement for the объявлений board

It would seem that it would be a simple task to make an объявление. They will sketch out a couple of offers in five minutes, publish an ad on the visited board like«Ukrboard» – and relax while waiting for calls.

But our rosy expectations are not always justified - the phone is silent. Most often, the reason for the failure lies in the incorrect submission of information, because writing a small but comprehensive text is sometimes more difficult than filling a whole page. To help sellers and buyers who are struggling with ads, we offer several simple but effective rules.

The first rule. Photo

Photo is the first thing that catches the user's eye. The well-thought-out text will remain unnoticed if the picture is taken in poor lighting, even against the background of your favorite carpet. A little effort spent on photography will significantly increase your chances of success.

Rule two. Keywords

Users rarely view ads in categories in order. Most of them simply use the built-in search system.

Before creating an ad, imagine what words you would search for it, and try to use them in the title and text. It will also be useful to check yourself: try to search for similar ads by keyword/s and see which ads correspond to them.

The third rule. Title

After the image, the visitor's gaze moves to the title link. It concentrates the most important information of the ad.

Let's explain with an example. From the heading "Children's clothes from knitwear" it is not clear how many items are sold, what condition they are in, whether their price corresponds to the market price. A similar text in one of the sections of Ukrboard is formulated in a slightly different way: "Children's clothing from knitwear from the manufacturer." Now it is obvious that the selection is large, the products are new, and the prices for them are not high.

The fourth rule. Details

Don't spill the beans - specify only the details that are important to the buyer. Do not rewrite the instructions for the washing machine - write about its dimensions, loading method and additional functions.

If the details do not describe the item in the best way, it will still have to be reported: the buyer will notice in any case that the stroller is missing a wheel or that the apartment has not been repaired for fifteen years.

The fifth rule. Addressee

Think about who the text is intended for - a man or a woman. A man will not like too long sentences and emotional details. A woman, on the contrary, reading the description of the dress, will not be satisfied with the word "brown" and will need to name the exact shade of the color, preferably in different lighting.

Rule six. Intuition and experiment

You wrote an ad according to all the rules, and it seems to you that now it will definitely work. But take your time. Own intuition is good, but it is better to support it with something more essential - the opinion of readers.

Conduct an experiment: check the effectiveness of the ad on "test rabbits" - friends and acquaintances who are not interested in this purchase or sale. Show them the text and watch their reaction.

If the text left them indifferent, it is necessary to refine it. If they start asking clarifying questions, listen to them carefully - maybe you have to add some details. And, finally, if they said that it seems that someone they know was looking for or suggested exactly such a thing, then you have reached your goal andyou can place an advertisement.
